Future Energy Ireland alongside Coilte and the ESB are seeking to construct fifteen wind turbines across nine-hundred and seventy hectares on Scart Mountain.
The location near Cappoquin spans fourteen townlands and sits close to the Tipperary border.
In the application, the company is seeking a ten-year construction period and a thirty-five-year operation license for the development.
The turbines, if approved, will have a blade tip height range from one-hundred and seventy-nine point five metres to one-hundred and eighty-five metres, with a maximum capacity of 85.5 Megawats and 108 Megawats.
The project also included a substation and a one-hundred-metre meteorological mast as well as other ancillary works.
Last year, a similar development consisting of twelve turbines at the Knockmealdowns was refused by An Bord Plenála on the grounds of going against the local authority's objectives.
