Many Waterford City and County supermarkets are busy restocking their shelves this morning.

There were reports of several supermarkets selling out of products such as bread, milk, and toilet paper, with shelves empty as of yesterday evening.

The scenes were similar to those during the pandemic, however, some people have taken to social media to voice their frustration at the panic buying calling it unnecessary.

It follows a status yellow weather warning issued by Met Éireann for Waterford that has since been upgraded to orange this morning.
