Plans have been unveiled for a new housing development planned at Mount Sion in Ferrybank.
The site is to be developed by Mullinavat man, Seamus Walsh, as part of a €350 million investment in the South East.
Also planned for the region is a 132-unit apartment-hotel, a large eco-park overlooking the city and an eventual development of the former Ard Ri site once the land dispute before the court of appeal has been resolved.
Looking at the market, Mr. Walsh says apartments remain a risk in the current climate given the cost of building a unit vs selling a unit, but he will be progressing the site when it makes economic sense to do so, with a projected view towards wider development over the next 5 to ten years.
