Councillor Tom Cronin has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of Waterford City & County.
The Ardmore councillor takes up the role following the passing of his predecessor, Councillor James Tobin in July.
The Fianna Fáil councillor was a great friend of Councillor Tobin for almost 40 years.
He said it was a great honour to take on the role, and he is looking forward to working closely with Mayor John O'Leary.
