Motorists urged to take care due to 'treacherous conditions' in Waterford

Gardaí have urged motorists to take care on Waterford's roads today due to what's been described as "treacherous conditions" in places.

Emergency services have been attending multiple collisions this morning, including on the Old Kilmeaden Road at Mount Congreve and Kilotteran, which is especially hazardous due to black ice.

The route between The Cosy Thatch and Kilotteran Bridge is now closed due to a number of incidents.

Areas in and around Tramore have also been highlighted as posing risks this morning, according to Tramore Garda Station.
