A man arrested in Cork City yesterday on suspicion of carrying out 30 years of pension fraud has been released without charge.
The man, aged in his 50s, was detained yesterday morning in relation to the fraud worth over €500,000.
Almost €10,000 in cash was seized when a house in Cork was later searched by gardaí and the Department of Social Protection.
The man has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
