A major electrical outage is affecting over two thousand customers in Waterford city this morning.
According to the ESB's Powercheck service, the fault was reported just before 3am and should be restored by 8am.
2,138 homes and businesses are affected, areas of the city centre are in darkness and some traffic lights in the city are also out, including at the junction by the Tower Hotel.
The ESB says it apologises for the loss of supply. The company is currently working to repair the fault and will restore power as quickly as possible.
