Local live register increases by 212 during July

There was a small increase in the Live Register in Waterford during the month of July.

According to the CSO there are now 7,423 people signing on in the City and County.

That's an increase of 212 since the end of June.

However, the figure is more than 11% lower than July of last year when 8,378 people were signing on.

The live register typically increases during June and July each year as college courses and school terms come to an end.
