Traffic disruption is expected in Waterford city this evening - with up to 100 tractors due to take part in a farmers protest.
The convoy of tractors from Waterford, New Ross and South Kilkenny is due to cross Rice Bridge from 8pm and proceed down The Quay.
Organisers have met with Gardai, who will be monitoring the situation.
The protest is being led by the Irish Farmers' Association and is being held to highlight concerns farmers have over how their industry is being treated.
Recent demonstrations have taken place in both Dungarvan and Kilmacthomas and there have been huge protests across Europe including in France, Germany and the Netherlands.
"We're trying to support the campaign - enough is enough," Waterford IFA Chairman John Heffernan told WLR News.
"We want to do as much as we can to highlight issues."
He added that the event will be peaceful.
The current plan would see the protest finish before the end of the Waterford FC- Shelbourne match at the RSC which kicks off at 7.45pm.
The IFA say they have stewards organised for the protest.
