Lengthy traffic delays in Waterford again this morning

There have been lengthy delays on the Outer Ring Road in Waterford again this morning - with road works at the Farronshoneen roundabout continuing to cause issues.

Yesterday, Waterford City and County Council confirmed that Phase 4 of the construction works at the roundabout are due to commence tomorrow (Friday).

Phase 4 of the works will continue for five working days until Thursday November 30th.

The works will involve the reconstruction of the Williamstown Road exit from the Farronshoneen roundabout and the west bound carriageway of the Outer Ring Road approaching the roundabout.

During this stage the Williamstown Road exit from the roundabout will be closed from 9.30am to 4pm each day with traffic diversions in place.

Outside of these hours, Stop/Go controls will be in place on all four legs of the roundabout.

The west bound carriageway of the Outer Ring Road approaching the roundabout will remain reduced to one lane.

Waterford City and County Council says it apologies for the inconvenience caused.
