A 13-year-old boy who was killed in a crash on the N10 Kilkenny to Waterford Road yesterday has been named locally.
Billy Rockett from Kilmacow died after a car and a jeep collided in Danesfort yesterday at 2 pm.
His father, Liam is in a serious condition in hospital.
Tributes have been paid to Billy while well wishes have been expressed to Liam online.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N10 in the Danesfort area between 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
