Two kayakers who got into difficulty outside Ballymacaw Bay were rescued earlier this afternoon.
Dunmore East RNLI, the Rescue 117 helicopter and Dunmore East Coast Guard were notified of the incident at around 11:50am (Sunday).
The two kayakers capsized but managed to climb onto a sea stack outside the bay.
Paramedics from the R117 helicopter assessed the occupants and an ambulance awaited them at Waterford Airport.
Emergency services are reminding the public to dial 112 or 999 if they see anyone in difficulty on the water and ask for the Coast Guard.
