Waterford’s Jim ‘Flash’ Gordon has been named as Ireland’s Bar Manager of the Year.
The popular local proprietor of Revolution Bar Waterford took top honours at the Dingle Whiskey Distillery Bar of the Year Awards, which were held at the Clayton Hotel on Dublin’s Burlington Road last night.
Jim saw off twelve competitors to take the honour of being the best bar manager across all 32 counties of Ireland.
The bar, based in the Apple Market in Waterford City, had a fantastic evening all around - as they also took silver honours in the Bar of the Year category.
Revolution Craft Beer and Whiskey Bar Waterford was also nominated for City Bar of the Year and the Local Bar of the Year Award.
The awards celebrate excellence within the industry and are dedicated to raising the profile of the licensed trade.
A gala banquet is held to celebrate the awards every year where winners are presented with specially created trophies to commemorate the occasion.
