A resident of John's Hill in Waterford is calling on the council to take urgent action on a dangerous derelict house.
Peter says the property adjoining his has been vacant for nearly 5 years and is now starting to cause structural problems for his house.
There also appears to be dirty water flowing from the now rubbish-filled site onto the main road.
He told Damien Tiernan earlier that something really needs to be done:
"The trees they all need to be cut down. There's no light going into my house - when you go into my house you'll see it. You'll also see my roof is starting to sag there.
"And there's a lot of stuff growing in between my slates but that's all backing onto the house that's the problem at the back there as well.
"I've walked in there once or twice just to see what it's like and it's in a terrible condition."
Peter also told Déise Today that the house is "like something you'd see in a third world country" and he has made contact with the council on numerous occasions but has gotten nowhere:
"I'm ringing them on and off for the last three or four years. A guy did come down from the council once in Dungarvan and said 'yeah it's in a terrible state. We must do something about that,' but nothing has been done.
"I need the council to come up and make a decision about what they're going to do with that property in there. It's a huge area in there. Like, you could build some fabulous houses or apartments.
"But while you have something like that at the back of you, you just get terribly frustrated.
"And I hate being fobbed off. I don't mind anybody saying 'Yeah, I'll look into that', but going on for four or five years, I've had enough of it at this stage."
