Irish man dies in Bulgarian ski resort

The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance after an Irish man died in Bulgaria.

Associated Press reports the 29-year-old died from injuries sustained in a fall at the Bansko mountain ski resort close to the town of Razlog.

It's believed he fell from a height of around 600 metres and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Department says it will not comment on the details of individual cases.
