Gardaí are seeking the views of the public regarding the future direction of the force to inform their 2022-2024 strategy statement.

They are now in the process of amending and updating the statement, which sets out their long-term operational priorities.

"We are conscious that as our society is transitioning, we must adapt to better fulfil the needs of our communities, with particular emphasis on human rights, and as always, community engagement," a statement from Gardaí said.

Members of the public are asked to share their views regarding the policing service in an online survey, by email, or by post.

Over 300 groups/bodies will also be asked to share their views, including all government departments, local authorities, and a number of non-governmental organisations and community representative groups.

Submissions by email can be sent to [email protected], while postal submissions can be addressed to Strategic Transformation Office, Ashtown Gate, Navan Road, Dublin 15, D15 NP9Y.

The closing date is April 30th and more information can also be found of the Garda website.
