Gardaí in Waterford are urging farmers to be vigilant following a spate of burglaries on farm properties in the region.
In Mid Waterford, East Tipperary and South Kilkenny, Gardai are investigating a number of recent burglaries on farm properties.
The incidents occurred during night time hours over the last few days. A number of sheds have been broken into and a variety of items have been stolen.
A Garda spokesperson said: "As a number of properties in the same areas have been targeted we would urge farmers to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious callers or vehicles immediately. Check CCTV systems and alarms are operational and remember to lock up valuable machines and property."
