Gardai in Waterford City are investigating an alleged attack on a teenager in the Peoples Park last night.
The scene was preserved overnight and is being examined this morning.
The 17 year old teenage boy was brought to University Hospital Waterford but discharged himself.
Gardai are waiting the outcome of the technical examination.

The alleged incident which is reported to have involved two people occurred between 8pm and 8.50pm last night.
Gardai say there have been no arrests.
