Gardaí in Dungarvan have made an arrest following two separate incidents of theft from vehicles in Dungarvan.
A video has been widely circulated online in recent days, showing a hooded male attempting to gain access to vehicles parked at several houses in Dungarvan in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, June 25th at approximately 5:00 P.m., a male youth attempted to gain access to a vehicle at a property in the town.
In a separate incident, access was gained to a vehicle in Dungarvan on Tuesday morning between 4:00 A.m. and 8:00 A.m.
A sum of cash was taken from the vehicle.
A male youth was later arrested and is currently detained at a local Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
