Gardaí are appealing for information after a number of cars were 'ransacked' in Cappoquin in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The thefts took place overnight in the Shanbally area of the town, with the perpetrators searching vehicles for valuables.
Speaking to WLR News Sergeant Ken O'Donovan from Dungarvan Garda Station is calling on the public to get in touch if they noticed any suspicious behaviour.
"There wasn't a lot of property taken from the vehicles, but numerous vehicles were gone through, ransacked and checked.
"We want to remind people to lock up their cars and property at night, and not to leave anything valuable in their cars.
"If any person was in the area, or has house CCTV or camera footage, we would ask that you would contact Dungarvan Station," Sgt O'Donovan said.
Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with information is being asked to contact Dungarvan Garda Station on 051 48600.
