The funeral will take place today (Wednesday) of the young man who died after an assault in Tallow.
26-year-old construction worker, Cian Gallagher, had been working on a project in West Waterford when the incident happened on November 2nd.
He died in Cork University Hospital eight days later and many tributes have been paid to him online in the days since.
Cian was from Dublin but has strong family ties to Brandon in Co Kerry and it's in Kerry that his funeral mass and burial will take place this afternoon.

A book of condolence for Cian will remain open in Tallow Post Office until this Friday evening.
