A former nursing home in Waterford City is due to go under the hammer tomorrow.

The five-and-a-half acre site on Manor Hill is included in the upcoming BID X1 online auction.

It has a guide price of 2.3 million euro.

St Joseph’s House was sold by the Little Sisters of the Poor in 2013 when it could no longer operate as a nursing home.

Since then it was used as a school and the development is being sold by the new owner.

A retail unit on Barronstrand Street is also listed at the same auction.

Number 29 is currently leased to Gallagher’s Pharmacy and has a guide price of 590 thousand euro.
