Flooding is affecting roads in Waterford this morning as a Status Orange weather warning for rain remains in place.
The alert came into effect at 7am and lasts until midday, with Wexford and Wicklow also included.
Met Éireann is warning that flooding is likely in places and Waterford Gardaí are urging people be extra cautious while driving as there will also be a danger of aqua-planing.
Locally, heavy flooding has been reported on the N25 between Kilmeaden and Ballyduff, where there's a stop-go system in place.
Emergency services are there and it's understood there was a crash in that area overnight as well.
There's flooding too on the Outer Ring Road near the airport roundabout, and in the Ballinaneesagh area.
A status yellow alert for rain will be in place for the entire country until 8pm tonight.
