At least 5 people had to be rescued in two separate incidents yesterday in Waterford.
The first was in the sea and the second on land.
Last night two walkers were rescued from the Knockmealdown Mountains.
The South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association say the pair had been walking since 1 o'clock and had become disoriented and cold.
They rang for help at about 7pm and phonefinder technology was used to locate them.
They were safely taken off the hill an hour and a half later.
Meanwhile, WLR News reported yesterday afternoon that a rescue mission was underway on the Copper Coast.
Helvick RNLI have today said it was a particularly tricky task because of the area the three kayakers had become stranded in.
They had been capsized by a sudden squall at Kilmurrin Cove and were forced onto the rocks.
Bunmahon Lifeboat and Rescue 117 assisted in the operation.
A winchman from the chopper was able to land on the rocks but needed the assistance of a lifeboat crew member who had to swim to them.
All three were eventually brought to safety.
Helvick RNLI says this was their fourth callout in 10 days.
