An ex-priest charged with possessing child pornography has been sent forward for trial in Waterford.
Oliver O'Grady appeared this afternoon at the District Court.
He is charged with one count of possessing a video of a semi-naked underage girl engaging in a sexual act, contrary to section six of the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act.
It's alleged the video was in his possession at an address in County Waterford on a date in 2015.
The 74-year-old was arrested under a European Arrest Warrant in the Algarve last month and held by authorities before being sent back to Ireland.
The book of evidence was served on Mr O'Grady at Waterford District Court today.
However, the defence told the court that "parts of pages" belonging to the book of evidence were missing and requested their inclusion.
Judge Kevin Staunton agreed and said that the absent information should be provided as a "matter of extreme urgency".
He remanded Oliver O'Grady in custody in the Midlands Prison and directed him to appear in the Circuit Court for trial on 14th January next year.
