Motorists are set to breathe a sigh of relief as the timeline for the latest road works at a busy city location nears its end.
Resurfacing works at the Farronshoneen roundabout have been taking place at evening and overnight - following an outcry over lengthy delays when the works took place during peak travel times last year.
Motorists are still advised to allow extra time for their journeys despite the night time works as significant delays are still being experienced at certain times.
In a statement last month, Waterford City and County Council said: "Resurfacing works at the Farronshoneen roundabout are due to commence on the night of Tuesday, February 6th, and will continue until the night of Thursday, February 15th excluding Saturday and Sunday nights. All work will be carried out at night between the hours of 7pm and 3am."
