Former Taoiseach and Fine Gael politician Enda Kenny was spotted on the Quay in Waterford this week filming his new TV show.

It's understood Kenny will present an Irish language show about old railways across the country.

Waterford based photographer David Murphy spotted Kenny and his camera crew yesterday in the city.

He said: "I was walking down the road with my dog as I do every day and I saw two guys across the road with heavy-duty cameras.

"Being a photographer myself I knew they were film crew and I was thinking what the hell is going on here. I then saw a lady who was talking to Enda Kenny so I took out my phone and took a picture."

The series will be produced by Feirsteach Sonas Productions, a television production company who were involved in the creation of many Irish language programs such as for TG4 and BBC Gaeilge.
