Emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident on Lombard Street in Waterford City.
WLR News understands there was a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle shortly before 9 o'clock tonight.
The road from the junction with Parnell Street to the Three Shippes pub has been completely closed.
Gardaí are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible as that stretch of Lombard Street is likely to be closed to traffic overnight.
