An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a derelict bakery locally last night.
It happened in the former Portlaw Bakery on Main Street in the town.
Gardaí and fire services were called at around 9.20pm.
Two Fire Appliances from Portlaw and Kilmacthomas were alerted to the fire and were back at their bases before 23.30pm.
Portlaw Bakery was first opened in 1914, but closed down in 2007.
Gardaí have told WLR News that no-one was injured and that no arrests have been made, but investigations are continuing.
