There has been an electrical fault in Kilmacthomas in Co Waterford. An ESB pole caught fire this morning.
One unit of the fire brigade in Kilmacthomas attended the scene but has since left - the ESB are currently on site dealing with the incident.
Approximately 30 customers in the centre of the village are without power and the ESB does not expect power to be restored until much later in the day.
A spokesperson says they are investigating the cause of the fire, one area of investigation is that there was water ingress into the unit.
A traffic management system is also in place in the centre of the village while the incident is being dealt with.
