An important training day for the principal emergency agencies is taking place in Dunmore East in County Waterford.
The Irish Marine Search and Rescue Demo allows the participating services interact with one another in a simulated exercise.
The day will conclude later this afternoon with a parade of all participating ships and boats and a Helicopter Fly past at quarter past four.
Area Officer in the Dunmore East Coastguard, Jim Griffin says over the years the focus of the day has changed from just being a demo for the public to incorporate special training for the search and rescue groups involved.
