A man in his 70s was brought to hospital having been discovered with injuries on O'Connell Street in Dungarvan in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man was found on the street at roughly 3am, and Dungarvan Gardai were called to the scene.
He was then brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Gardai have clarified that initial enquiries suggest there is no criminal activity involved in this incident, and that investigations remain ongoing.
