An application has been lodged for changes to Dungarvan's Gold Coast Hotel.
Planners have until December to make a decision.
On Friday, the application was received by Waterford council.
Gold Coast Holidays Limited are looking to convert the existing hotel into an Aparthotel.

Aparthotels consist of a set of apartments where you can stay for a short time and that offer services like those of a hotel - including cleaning, bedding and towels.
They also want to construct balconies around the premises and make internal changes to the existing rooms.
Submissions on the application have to be made by the 17th of November and a decision is due by the 8th of December.
