A pop-up Coivid test centre in Dungarvan has been extended for another day.
The centre which is open today (Sunday, June 28th) until 7pm, will now also open from 11am to 7pm tomorrow (Monday June 28th).
According to the South East HSE, an average of 500 people per day were tested at the facility on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The centre was opened on the grounds of the Community Hospital, after reports of rising cases in West-Waterford.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health has reported an additional 340 cases of Covid 19 nationwide.
There are 47 patients in hospital nationally and 15 of those are in ICU.
The HSE reminds everyone at this time of “the basics” in protecting one’s self and others from the spread of the virus.
In particular, if you have symptoms, even if they are mild, do not attend work or social gatherings and get tested for Covid-19.
