A man in his 40s has been arrested after he was stopped and searched by the Waterford Garda Divisional Drugs Unit last night.
The man was searched as part of Operation Tara, and it was discovered that he was in possession of diamorphine to the street value of €9,000.
He has since been detained at Waterford Garda Station and charged and is due to appear in court in the coming weeks.
