The number of cases of Covid-19 doubled in Waterford last week.
That's according to the latest epidemiology report by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
It shows that 58 cases were confirmed in Waterford from the 6th to the 12th of December.
That's up from 26 cases the week before.
The 7-day incidence rate went from 22.4 to 49.9.
The median age of cases in Waterford increased to 39 and was split equally between males and females.
Kilkenny had the highest incidence rate in the country last week.
111 cases were confirmed there giving an incidence rate of 111.9
The South-East had the second-highest incidence rate last week at 56.6 cases per 100,000 people.
The North West was highest at 76.4.
