New figures released by the Department of Health show that the incidence of Covid-19 is below the national average in all electoral areas in Waterford bar one.
Waterford City South had the highest number of cases locally in the two weeks up until midnight on Monday.
The cases, although decreasing steadily, continue to be concentrated in the Metropolitan area of Waterford City.
The breakdown of Covid-19 cases by local electoral area is released on a weekly basis.
Waterford City South which covers most of Waterford City Centre and south to the city's hinterland had 24 cases in the two weeks from the 15th to the 28th of September.
That’s down from 28 cases a week ago and gives an incidence rate of 106.8 per 100,000 population.
The national average at the time was 88.2.
In Tramore - Waterford City West there were 17 cases in the two weeks ending Monday, that’s a reduction of 13 cases and brings the rate to 76. That electoral area takes in the western outlying areas of Waterford City, Butlerstown and south to Tramore.
Waterford City East stretches from Ardkeen and the Dunmore Road to Cheekpoint, Passage East and Dunmore. There were 15 cases there during that time which gives an incidence rate of 65.3.
A week ago, the rate was 121.8.
In County Waterford fewer than 5 cases were recorded in the Dungarvan, Lismore and Portlaw electoral areas.
