Due to the latest Government COVID-19 restrictions, the Theatre Royal Waterford has said it is devastated to announce that all events scheduled to take place between Wednesday 7th and Wednesday, 28th October will not go ahead.

However, the theatre team will continue to work with its partners throughout Waterford’s arts community to endeavour to make work that can be presented to audiences

Theatre Manager Mary Boland:

"As events over the coming weeks are cancelled, our dedicated team are working hard behind the scenes to contact all ticket-holders as soon as we can in relation to rescheduling dates or refunds. We appreciate people's patience during this process and they can rest assured that we will be in contact as soon as possible. Events outside the 3-week closure remain unchanged unless further advised and I would ask our audiences to refer to our website and social media for updated information on events and exciting plans coming our way.

"We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the artists, promoters and technicians who have visited us since our reopening on 12th August; our fantastic team here at the Theatre Royal who have gone to enormous lengths to implement new safety protocols; and our loyal customers for continuing to purchase tickets, to attend shows and to support the arts in Waterford."

The Raven's Rock Rally which was due to take place this Sunday in Tramore has now been postponed.

In a statement, Carrick-on-Suir Motor Club said it was postponing the event until further notice in light of the changes in guidelines and restrictions announced by the Government.

We would like to pay special thanks to all of our team at Carrick -on-Suir Motor Club Limited who have worked so hard and in particular over the last month to include the production of our event Covid-19 protocols as an addition to the Motorsport Ireland 'Return To Sport' document.

To all the stakeholders, Motorsport Ireland, Waterford City and County Council, Tramore and Kilmacthomas Gardai personnel, Waterford Tramore Racecourse Company Limited and our accommodation partners Dooley's Hotel Waterford all who have been so supportive in their own way.

We would also like to pay special tribute to the residents on our 2 stage locations and along the rally route. We are most saddened for these people who literally welcomed us with open arms and who were all so delighted to have something to look forward to this coming Sunday.

Finally, to our competitors and rally suppliers, It was for you guys and girls we did this and we have no doubt you all appreciate the struggles we have had to endure and the lengths we went to in order to get the Ravens Rock Rally 2020 to the point it is at today, ready to run but unfortunately, it's not to be at this time.

Hopefully, sooner rather than later things will improve, and we will rally together again!
