There was a slight increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 in Waterford last week.
However, the median age has fallen.
The latest weekly epidemiology report by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre shows that 68 cases were confirmed in Waterford from the 13th to the 19th of December.
That's up from 58 cases the week before.
The 7-day incidence in Waterford last week was 58.5 per 100,000 people up from 49.9 the week before.
The median age of cases, was 28, down from 38. That means that half of all cases were younger than 28 and half were older than 28.
The South-East had the second-highest weekly incidence rate in the country. It was 99.7 per 100,000 people. The rate in the North-West was 112.8. The national rate at the time was 70.8.
