There has been a further 1,372 Covid-19 cases, the lowest daily figure since the end of December according to the Department of Health.
A further 7 deaths have also been recorded.
75 of today's cases are in Waterford, 502 are in Dublin, 164 in Cork, 77 in Wexford, 66 in Louth, and the remaining 488 cases are spread across all other counties.
The 14-day incidence rate of the virus in Waterford has risen slightly to 990.4 and is now the fourth-highest in the country. That's compared to the national 14-day incidence rate which is now 766.2.
The number of people in hospital with the virus nationwide now stands at 1,905, while 219 are in ICUs.
