Cork flights affected by sandstorm

A sandstorm is affecting flights between Ireland and the Canary Islands.

There are disruptions to scheduled arrivals into Cork and Shannon airports today, with the latter hit with a four-hour delay this morning.

High winds have whipped up sands from the Sahara desert, which are now affecting the group of islands.

The Canary Islands lie 60km off the coast of Africa.
