Civil servants won't be allowed work from home if they return from holidays from a country not on the 'green list'.
A letter had been sent out from the Department of Public Expenditure explaining it wouldn't be allowed - despite claims from unions that more than 10,000 people were working remotely during the height of the pandemic.
The Business Post reports civil servants who are a contact of a confirmed case are allowed to work from home.
The Department has said the decision is to protect the safety of colleagues in the office.
