Nominations have opened for a leadership contest in the Green Party.
A number of Cork City and County councillors have come out to nominate Deputy Leader Catherine Martin to challenge Eamon Ryan.
Deputy Martin has thanked them and said she'll consider it in the coming days, but that the negotiations to form a government are her main focus.
The Green Party constitution says there has to be a leadership contest within six months of a general election.
The current process would see nominations for the leadership close on June 7th.
The Greens will now likely go through a leadership race while also negotiating to be part of the next government.
