The Criminal Assets Bureau is currently investigating 22 targets in Waterford city and county.
The Irish Independent reports that CAB netted a record haul of assets from criminals in 2019.
The total number of targets this year is up 40 per cent on 2018.
The Greater Dublin Area accounted for 45 per cent of those under scrutiny, followed by Limerick, Meath and Kildare.
