A Waterford Councillor doesn't believe "grim galvanised-steel structures" should be located in a wooded area.
The local authority plans to install two new bridges in Newtown Woods in Tramore.
However, they plan to replace the old wooden bridges with steel structures.
Independent councillor Joe Conway says they are not in keeping with the area:
"Like all natural substances they do have a rate of attrition and they are probably a little bit 'dodgy' at this stage, so it is considered wise to replace them. The problem is the replacement design incorporates grim grey galvanised steel structures which I don't think is ideal for a woodland amenity like that."

Councillor Conway says he has had lots of representations on the issue from locals and he has made his feelings known to Waterford Council.
