For the fourth day in a row, there has been a slight rise in the incidence of Covid-19 in Waterford.
The latest data from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre shows that 54 cases were confirmed in Waterford from the 25th of September to the 8th of October.
That gives an incidence rate of 46.5 per 100,000 people, up from 40.5 yesterday.
Waterford is one of only three counties in Ireland with an incidence rate below 50. Carlow has the lowest at 42 followed by Mayo on 44.
16 counties have rates above 100 which has pushed the national rate to 134.

There were 107 cases confirmed in Cork yesterday which has pushed their rate to 140.4. Two weeks ago the rate in Cork was 46.8, the week before that it was 14.2.
South East
The number of active cases (confirmed 25/9 to 8/10) in the South East has increased to 325, up from 299 yesterday. 128 are associated with clusters, 29 are healthcare workers and the mean age is 40.
Wexford has the highest level of cases in the region, 128 cases have been confirmed there over the last fortnight, that gives an incidence rate of 85.5 per 100,000.
There were 59 cases in Kilkenny during that time, the incidence rate is now 59.5.
Tipperary (which also includes Tipperary North) has an incidence rate of 58.3.
Carlow's rate, at 42.2. is the lowest in the country.
