A total of more than €978,000 has been granted for nine community centres in Waterford this morning.
It's part of an overall funding announcement of €33 million nationally - the largest capital investment in community centres.
This funding for Waterford is in addition to the €438,000 allocated in October.
The three biggest beneficiaries this morning are Carbally Community Development Project, Kill Community Centre, and the Butler Community Centre.
Others to benefit are the Ballinameela Community Centre CLG, Dunhill GAA Club, Abbeyside Parish, Access 2000 Company Limited By Guarantee, 11th Waterford Dungarvan Scout Group, Ballysaggart Community Development Company CLG, Butler Community Centre Company Limited By Guarantee, Kill Community Centre CLG, and Carbally Community Development Project.
