Almost 380 Ukrainian students in schools in Waterford

Almost 380 Ukrainians are attending schools across Waterford City and County.

That's according to the latest figures from the Department of Education.

244 Ukrainian pupils have been enrolled into Primary schools while 134 are in Secondary schools across Waterford.

Nationally there's 13,323 Ukrainian pupils attending schools across the country.

Over 8,500 are in Primary schools with the remaining 4,800 attending secondary schools.

The Department says they are continuing to assist with the transition of Ukrainian students and their families into Irish schools with Regional Education and Language Teams.
