ABOUT LOCAL LINK
Local Link Waterford, is a network of public transport agents across the country operating public bus services in local areas on behalf of the National Transport Authority.
Within the Local Link Waterford Programme the provision of services are subcontracted to local transport operators.
We provide a combination of Scheduled Public Transport services that pick up and drop off at designated stops along a set route with a set time table.
Where people are unable to get to our buses we also offer several door-to-door services in the more rural areas where in most cases we can collect them and return them to their homes with a semi-flexible transport service, i.e. the service can divert off route if necessary to accommodate passengers’ needs.
Local Link is a national initiative specifically aimed at people in rural areas who are excluded or may become excluded because transport is not available, accessible or affordable to them locally.
