Waterford Chamber has seen a six-fold increase in the number of shop local vouchers sold this year.
They're appealing to people to bear with them as stocks are critically low.
A further order is due on Monday and people are being encouraged to purchase them from waterfordchamber.ie

"Due to phenomenal demand, our stock of Waterford Shop Local Gift Vouchers is critically low and we are appealing to the public to bear with us until Monday as we await a new order.
"The Gift voucher scheme has been a phenomenal success this year. We have seen a six-fold increase in sales and over 250 businesses supporting the scheme."
Gerald Hurley said the public has also made a tremendous effort in supporting local this Christmas.
"In fact last week alone, we processed the same volume of vouchers as we did for the entire year last year. This will bring a significant boost to the local economy in the new year and we look forward to hearing the till rings.
"In the meantime, if you want to order vouchers over the weekend please order at waterfordchamber.ie, as the book centre has no stock left and we will issue the vouchers directly from Waterford chamber as soon as they arrive," he added.
